Filters
- HEPASilent filter removes 99.97% of pollutants as small as 0.1 microns and is made of polypropylene, which mechanically filters out airborne particles (dust, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, mold spores and other airborne particles). For optimal performance, it is recommended that the filter be replaced at least every six months.
- Ultra violet lamp reacts with the HEPASilent™ particle filter which is coated with titanium dioxide to create photocatalytic oxidation which attacks a pollutant's chemical bonds, converting the toxic compounds into benign constituents such as water and carbon dioxide. The ultra violet light will work for 9,000 hours or approximately 1 year before needing replacement.
